The weather forecast for the final weekend of October looked far too promising to ignore. Almost automatically, our plan of paddling, sitting around a campfire, and spending the night by the lake became set in stone.

Picking the spot took no deliberation: Pole Campingowe Kitowscy. It is one of those rare sites where you immediately feel at home, always greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality.

Things rarely go completely as drafted. Kayaking slipped off the agenda when we couldn’t get in touch with the marina where our gear is stored, but the pivot turned out just as rewarding. We redirected that extra time into slowing down and filming a short clip to capture Kaszuby at its peak - draped in crisp autumn air, low golden sunlight, and absolute calm.
