About Me
Hi, I’m Lukasz Skalski, an embedded systems engineer based in Gdańsk, Poland. My work and interests center around open-source software, hardware–software co-design, and embedded Linux. For a detailed professional track record, recommendations, and current engagements, feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
With over 20 years of hands-on experience in electronics, bridging low-level firmware, Linux kernel internals, and physical PCB design, I focus on building reliable connected devices, battery-less systems, and ultra-low-power electronic paper products. I am also the author of the book “Linux. Podstawy i aplikacje dla systemów embedded”, author of numerous papers in scientific journals and technical magazines, as well as an instructor designing and leading hands-on technical training sessions on embedded Linux development for electronic devices. You can find a small fraction of the many professional and hobbyist projects I have completed over the years in the Projects tab.
Outside of engineering, I am a passionate fan of long-distance kayaking and cycling expeditions - adventures that push boundaries both mentally and physically. You can read more about these journeys, route recaps, and field updates directly on my Blog.
